Create Hip Comic Profile

Hip Comic profiles allow you to create standardized listing templates for your products on Hip Comic. These profiles save time by pre-defining listing settings, categories, and descriptions that can be applied to multiple products.

Prerequisites

Before creating Hip Comic profiles, ensure you have:

Hip Comic Account

An active Hip Comic seller account with proper authentication set up in PIM settings.

Business Information

Complete business details in your PIM settings for proper marketplace integration.

Product Categories

Understanding of Hip Comic's category structure for comics and collectibles.

Creating a Hip Comic Profile

Follow these steps to create a new Hip Comic listing profile:

Navigate to Hip Comic Profiles

From the main navigation, go to Hip Comic → Profiles. You'll see a list of existing profiles (if any) and an "Add New Profile" button.

Click Add New Profile

Click the green "Add New Profile" button to open the profile creation form.

Enter Profile Information

Fill in the basic profile details:
Profile Title: A descriptive name for this profile (e.g., "Raw Comic Books", "Graded Comics")
Profile Description: Optional detailed description of when to use this profile

Configure Listing Information

Set up the listing defaults:
Listing Type: Choose between "Fixed Price" or "Auction"
Primary Hip Comic Category: Select the appropriate category from the dropdown
Listing Handling Time: Set the number of days for order processing

Save the Profile

Click the blue "Create" button to save your new Hip Comic profile. The profile will be available for use when listing products.

Listing Type Options

Fixed Price

Set a fixed price for your items. Buyers can purchase immediately at the listed price. Best for items with established market values.

Auction

Allow buyers to bid on your items over a set period. Great for rare or unique items where market value may vary.

Best Practices

Create Multiple Profiles: Consider creating different profiles for different types of inventory (e.g., "Raw Comics", "Graded Comics", "Vintage Comics") to streamline your listing process.
Handling Time: Set realistic handling times. Consider your processing workflow and shipping schedule when setting this value.
Category Selection: Choose the most specific category that applies to your items. Proper categorization helps buyers find your listings and can improve search visibility.

Managing Existing Profiles

After creating profiles, you can:

Edit Profiles

Click the blue "Edit" button next to any profile to modify its settings. All future listings using this profile will use the updated settings.

Delete Profiles

Click the red "Delete" button to remove profiles you no longer need. Note: This won't affect existing listings that used the profile.

Apply to Products

When adding or editing products, you can select which Hip Comic profile to use for listing on the marketplace.
